It’s here! The latest issue of Kunstlicht dedicated to how sound’s behaviours and creative practices employing the sonic, reconfigure our conceptions of environments and the ecologies that bind all ecologies together—in desired and troublesome, and expected and unexpected ways.

I had the huge pleasure of guest-editing the largest issue of Kunstlicht made thus far, with 14 contributions by artists, curators, academics, (sound) practitioners, and writers from all over the world! The issue takes us to the deep ocean for a swim with whales, to the Thuringian Forest to listen to how progress rudely intrudes on the forest-system, to the club and the music stage, Amstelpark and Maastricht, and to ambiguous spaces such as those between extinction and resurrection, presence and absence, history and erasure…

This huge labour of love could not have been possible without the continuous support of editor-in-chief Lisa Marie Sneijder, and my fellow editors at Kunstlicht, who all do this work voluntarily and out of passion. Special thanks to Angelina Nonaj, the creator of the stunning cover artwork wrapping Reverberant Ecologies.
